The basic principle of Yantras is that the geometric patterns can attract positive cosmic energies which confer positivity, energy, wealth and prosperity with peace and harmony. When one focuses on such a perfectly created Yantra during its worship, one’s mind aligns and synchronizes with frequency that is emerging from the Yantra. The Yantra here acts like a synchronizer or a gateway, as the energy does not come from the Yantra itself but from the cosmos. It is because of the perfect geometrical design of the Yantra and when the Yantras are energized with proper Vedic Mantras making them attract the positive divine energy of the cosmos. This contact with high level energies is helpful in giving one abundant wealth, good health, harmony in relationships and overall fulfillment of all positive desires.

Note: The Yantra can be placed in the Puja place at home or in one’s office facing East, North or Northeast direction.

Ashtalakshmi, are the eight forms of Devi Mahalakshmi. She is known as giver of wealth and prosperity. It means abundance in knowledge, art, expertise and talent and enhancement of abilities. Devi Mahalakshmi is the divine energy that expresses itself as the complete material and spiritual well-being of the devotees.

Adi Lakshmi

Adi Lakshmi is an incarnation of Mahalakshmi as daughter of the sage Bhrigu. She is the giver of perennial abundance. The flow of wealth has no beginning and no end and is ever flowing divine prosperity. Adi Lakshmi and Narayana are one; she is the Shakti and also the energy of Narayana.

Dhana Lakshmi

Dhana Lakshmi is also known as Vaibhav Lakshmi. Dhana and Vaibhav mean material wealth, and abundance respectively. This wealth is necessary to live an enriched and contended life. The Rigved states in the Purush Sukta, that Dhana is not only wealth in form of coins and currency but the sun, moon, fire, stars, rains, nature, oceans, mountains, rivers, lakes etc., all these are also our wealth, so are the progeny, so is our will power, our character, our virtues and our talent etc. The grace of Devi Dhana Lakshmi enables us to get all of these.

Dhaanya Lakshmi

Dhaanya Lakshmi bestows agricultural bounty. Here the wealth is in the form of grains, food, nourishment, and health. We need food to sustain life. Being wealthy here means that we have abundance of food grains for our nourishment. Devi Dhaanya Lakshmi blesses us with success in harvest.

Gaja Lakshmi

Gaja Lakshmi is the giver of animal wealth (such as cattle). She also symbolizes power and authority of royalty or leadership in society. The Puranas say that Gaja Lakshmi bestowed the wealth lost by Indra (king of Devas). Another interpretation of the name is, one who is worshipped by elephants.

Santaan Lakshmi

Santaan Lakshmi bestows offspring to continue the family lineage. Santaan means children. Devi Santaan Lakshmi symbolizes the social nature of man. We need each other. Children are our wealth, they are our future. Our life moves forward through our children. Those who worship Santaan Lakshmi are bestowed with wealth in the form of desirable children with good health & character.

Veer / Dhairya Lakshmi

Dhairya means patience. This wealth confers on us the spiritual strength to face good and bad with a balanced state of mind. Veer or Dhairya Lakshmi grants us the boon of infinite courage and strength. Those who worship her live and lead a life with tremendous patience, inner stability and achieve all-round victory.

Vijay / Jaya Lakshmi

Vijay Lakshmi or Jaya Lakshmi is the giver of victory, not only in battles but also in conquering hurdles in order to get success. Vijay means victory. Devi Vijay Lakshmi epitomizes the wealth of courage, confidence, fearlessness and victory. Vijay is to conquer our lower nature also. Those who have the grace of Devi Vijay Lakshmi, have victory in all spheres of life.

Vidya Lakshmi

Vidya Lakshmi is the bestower of Vidya (knowledge) and Jnana (wisdom). The qualities imbibed through proper Vidya and Jnana not only confers material prosperity but also leads one onto the path of Moksha. Regular meditation on this Ashta Lakshmi Yantra fulfills all the four Purusharth which literally means an object of human pursuit. The four Purusharth are Dharma, Artha, Kama and Moksha. Let the divine mother grace us with wealth, health, prosperity, harmony and peace of mind.
