Significance of Navratri

Navratri is a divine festival celebrated all over India. It marks the victory of positivity over negativity. It translates to the 'nine nights' in Sanskrit. During these nine nights and ten days, the three forms of the Divine Mother are invoked which are Maha Kali, Maha Lakshmi and Maha Saraswati.

Navaratri is the ritual observance for propitiating the Mother of the Universe, Devi Durga. Moreover Goddess Durga as the name suggests is the remover of all negativity and obstacles. This year the festival will be celebrated from 26th September to 5th October 2022.

Rudralife will be celebrating the Navratri with a divine and powerful Nav Chandi Puja on an auspicious Muhurat by accomplished Vedic Pandits and elaborate Vedic rituals. We call everyone to participate in our upcoming Puja and get the blessings of Devi for yourself and your family this Navratri.

Navchandi Paath

Navchandi Paath is an extremely auspicious and elaborate ritual performed during the Navratras.

This Puja bestows health, wealth, strength and success to one who performs and participates in it. No Puja, Anusthan or Siddhi's are complete without the blessings of Adishakti as Paramba Durga is the very life force and energy of all creation.

Navchandi Paath involves about 9 hours of Mantra chanting and rituals continuously for nine days and ends with a Havan of 700 Ahutis with 700 Shlokas.

Every day, apart from Shodashopchar, 13 Adhyayas of Durga Shaptashati is chanted along with Madhayaan and Sayankaal Aarti.

Benefits Of Fasting During Navratri

Navratri marks the onset of a new season and fasting during this time is considered auspicious. It is also believed that Goddess Durga bestows her blessings upon those who fast for these nine days. Fasting is an effective way to kindle the digestive fire and burns away accumulated toxins from the body and mind.

Rudraksha And Navratri

Navaratri being a festival related to Devi Durga is one of the most auspicious times of the year to experience the power of the divine 9 Mukhi Rudraksha blessed by Devi Durga herself. Rudralife calls upon all devotees to garner the blessings of this powerful Rudraksha this Navratri which provides energy, power, dynamism and fearlessness to the wearer.

Nav Kanya Pujan

It is a holy ritual, performed on the ninth day of the Navratri festival. The ceremony primarily involves the worship of nine girls, representing the nine forms of Devi Durga. These girls represent Devi Shakti in the highest form of womanhood due to their innocence and purity. Legend has it that it was on the ninth day of Navratri that Shakti had taken the form of Devi Durga to kill the demon Kalasura. Hence the Puja on this day assumes special importance.

It is a custom to wash the feet of these nine young girls as a mark of respect for the Devi and offer them food then offer them new clothes as gifts. Kanya Pujan as a part of Devi worship is to respecting the feminine power vested in the girl child. She is worshipped because, according to the philosophy of ‘Striyah Samastastava Devi Bhedah’, women symbolize Devi Mahamaya, and a girl child is considered to be the purest, because of her innocence.
