Devotees of Kal Bhairav seek his blessings for protection from negative influences, removal of obstacles, and to dispel fear and insecurity. He is associated with the concept of time and the inevitability of death, emphasizing the transient nature of life.

This Puja is performed for seeking protection against negative energies, overcoming ailments, longevity of life, to rid oneself from fears, success in court cases and for good fortune.

It involves vedic rituals like Bhairav Mantra japa, Kaal Bhairav Ashtak Stotra paath, Kaal Bhairav Havan and Maha Lakshmi Havan for the blessing of Lord Kaal Bhairav.
