Kal Bhairav is a fierce and formidable manifestation of Lord Shiva, often depicted as a fierce deity with a black complexion and carrying a trident. He is considered the guardian of the city of Kashi (Varanasi). Kal Bhairav is known for his role as the protector of the holy city and is believed to be the enforcer of dharma (righteousness) and justice.
