Dashavtar represents the 10 avatars of Lord Vishnu. ‘Dasha’ means ten and ‘Avatar’ means incarnation. Matsya, Koorma, Varaha, and Narasimha in Satya Yuga, Vaaman, Parasurama and Sri Ram in Treta Yuga, Balaram and Shri Krishna in Dwapar Yuga, Kalki Avtar which is about to come in Kali Yuga.

This puja is a prayer to please Sankat Mochan Lord Hanuman, and get his blessings in the ‘Year of Mangal’ - 2025. Its said that this year comes with increased problems if the planets Mangal, Rahu & Saturn are malefic. A story goes that Lord Hanuman freed Shani(Saturn) from King Ravana’s control, and hence, in return Lord Hanuman asked Shani Dev to never lay eyes(Drishti) on his devotees(Bhakts). And from that day forth, devotees worship Lord Hanuman remove obstacles and problems caused due to the malefic effects of Shani.
