A story goes that Lord Hanuman freed Shani(Saturn) from King Ravana’s control, and hence, in return Lord Hanuman asked Shani Dev to never lay eyes(Drishti) on his devotees(Bhakts). And from that day forth, devotees worship Lord Hanuman remove obstacles and problems caused due to the malefic effects of Shani.
