Rudraksha: A Sensory Mystery or a Divine Conductor?

As per the Shastras focusing on the Rudraksha while chanting Mantras creates tremendous positive energy.

It is stated that only the fortunate get to see, touch or wear a Rudraksha. Vision is one of the gifted senses of human beings. The eyes can identify colours, contours and shapes. They can also differentiate the intensity of colour because of the frequency of colours. The eyes have a particular frequency by which they function and correlate. When a Rudraksha is placed in the altar or at a workplace it becomes the object of focus.

As per the Shastras focusing on the Rudraksha while chanting Mantras creates tremendous positive energy. What better object to behold with faith through human eyes than the Rudraksha. Scientifically it displays the principle of transfer of energy from the object to the subject even when the object is stable. Each Rudraksha is assigned a specific Beej (Seed) Mantra. This Mantra is the key that unlocks the complete divine potential of that particular Rudraksha. This process is an absolute necessity for those who wish to experience the divine energy at its highest potential.

Touching a Rudraksha is considered more auspicious while worshipping. All our nerves are connected to the palms of our hands and finger tips. In ancient yogic traditions the five fingers were classified into the five elements of nature. Fire, Air, Ether, Earth and Water are found not only in the environment but also in the human body.

When you touch a Rudraksha or hold it with your fingertips you are actually connecting the elements in your body to the divine energy that the bead exudes. The nerve endings on your fingertips pick up the electromagnetic impulses that the Rudraksha emits to charge the entire body with energy. Science and scriptures use this principle of transfer of energy from an object to a subject when you touch, worship or wear a Rudraksha.

Rudraksha beads as a ‘Paapharta’

This now brings us to the practice of wearing a Rudraksha close to the heart or around the wrists. Ancient scriptures call Rudraksha beads as “Paapharta” (absolves from sins) and “Mokshapradaayee” (frees from cycles of birth and confers salvation). The science behind this statement runs very deep. The human heart pumps blood that flows through the entire body. On either side of the heart are the lungs that ensure that air is inhaled and exhaled. When a Rudraksha is worn at the chest level it transfers energy because of its electromagnetic and paramagnetic properties.

This forms an energy field which ensures that cardiovascular functions and breathing are balanced. Scientific experiments prove the Nootropic (memory enhancing) property of this bead. Now when we wear it on the wrist the energy meridians or nerves that connect to the lungs and heart are again in contact with it. Thus the wisdom of the ancient Seers which was termed as spirituality was actually science at its beneficial best.
